More coverage of the van fundraiser

April 19, 2012

We recently sat down with Amber O’Shea from The Local Scene to talk about the van fundraiser and the Organic Hippie 4/20 car wash/bake sale/etc. fundraiser. The article also includes a video part of the interview. Click here for “Bands and their vans: Hail the Titans.”

Also, our good friend Tracey with Rock Science in Atlanta showed us some love on the new Rock Science website. She talked about the online fundraiser and the Organic Hippie event in the article, “Wheels for the Titans: How to Help.”

Tomorrow’s event will include items for sale by Bad Mustache Beanies, Trey will be stenciling some t-shirts, and Wes’s sister is using her culinary skills to make some cupcakes (that we got to name… see the sign with the names here.)

In non-van news, we got a mention in a Montgomery Advertiser article today. Sean Gourley and Matt Okarmus write about local events in the paper’s “GoPlay” section, and in today’s edition, they recap “A year of exciting events in the Montgomery area.”

From the article:

“We’ve both had the chance to talk to all sorts of talented people who aren’t just good at what they do; they’re nice folks who love talking about doing what they love. From actors like Nick Jones, who appeared in a SyFy Channel movie; to local bands like Hail The Titans, who raised money to put out a great album last year; to One Like Son, a local band that recorded an album entirely on an iPhone. There’s plenty more, and we’ve gotten to help share their stories.”
